We sat down with Natalie Clark, Clothing Store Manager at San Joaquin Memorial High School, a private Catholic prep school in Fresno, California, to find out why her school chose to work with EdTech Solutions.
Before you started working with EdTech, what was your biggest concern or hesitation?
My biggest concern was ordering books and having them fly at me from all different positions. We purchase the books for the students, and it was getting time consuming. It was a real juggling act at the beginning of the school year to get new books, lose old books, transfer between classes, get books to the IT people, and distribute them to students.
How did your perception change after you started working with EdTech?
I didn’t have to juggle! EdTech did the ordering, set up the bookshelf, and automatically the books went to the students. We had some hiccups, but it was more on our end – teachers not knowing what they’re doing, students using multiple passwords, things of that nature. But for me, it was a big weight off my shoulders.
What is one specific result or takeaway that you have after working with EdTech?
As far as ordering and distribution, it’s made life a lot easier for me.
What would you say to someone who’s thinking about partnering with EdTech, but is on the fence?
I’d highly recommend it! Get the contract signed early, know what your teachers want and confirm with them, so they don’t push back with you once you get the books. If your teachers are informed and on board, it’ll go so well! There are always a few things to iron out the first year, but it will go much smoother than doing it yourself.
Is there anything else that you’d wish to share that you haven’t had a chance to share yet?
I was impressed with my rep at EdTech and their ability to work with me, and my IT staff, teachers, and counselors. Meeting them where they are and working at all the different levels so they could easily understand, made everything so much simpler.
