Industry Updates

VitalSource Acquired RedShelf

VitalSource has officially acquired RedShelf, bringing two leading ebook platforms together under one organization. EdTech will help get students and faculty access to ebooks from VitalSource through Shelfit.
For classes currently using RedShelf, VitalSource has started transitioning services and support to its own platform. Teachers and students will continue to have access to their course materials, but future access and management will move through the VitalSource Bookshelf platform.

ADMIN TIPS OF THE MONTH

November can feel hectic as we head into the holiday season. You might want to take a few minutes now to plan deadlines, meetings, and important tasks for December. Getting organized now can prevent the holiday chaos from sneaking up on you and keep both students and staff on track.
Inviting department chairs or teachers to share any content challenges they’ve faced this semester can be a good idea as well! Collecting feedback now makes it easier to implement improvements before spring term starts. EdTech can always help gather samples to explore if need be!
Now might also be a good time to begin planning for end of semester exams. Confirm testing dates and schedules early and share with faculty with families to help reduce stress in December.
